Why you and your baby need a good night’s sleep
When you’re a sleep-deprived parent, you know that nothing beats a good night’s sleep to make everything feel better. As adults, we all understand the importance of good quality, restorative sleep – so why do some babies really struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep.
Young children grow and develop quickly, so getting enough sleep to support their good health and give them the energy they need to play and learn is important. Having good sleep habits – a routine that works, a safe sleeping environment, and the right support – will all ensure your baby gets all the sleep they need.
Five signs your baby
is not sleeping well
- Becomes grizzly or fussy quickly
- Wakes through the night and needs help to fall back to sleep
- Takes frequent catnaps
- Finds it difficult to settle before sleep
- Falls asleep at unpredictable times

BabyBliss Sleep Support is a guided course. The 10 learning modules are self-paced – so you can go as fast or as slow as you like. And you can always return to completed modules if you need to.
The program will require you to work on being consistent with applying our advice and techniques, but the information is easy to follow and you can move back and forth between modules as needed.
To get the most out of the program, we recommend you put aside some time to focus on improving your baby’s sleep. You will get out of this program what you put into it BUT it is not intended to be difficult and time-consuming and it is designed to be incorporated into everyday family life.
You will have access to the program for 12 months – during that time you can refer to the modules as often as you need.
The Babybliss Settling Technique is a great alternative to the ‘extremes’ of settling babies, such as ‘controlled crying’ or ‘crying it out’. The technique is about gently getting your baby to sleep, or back to sleep, using patting. There is no need to leave your baby to cry.
